Islamic Cemetery Project

Assalamu Alaykum Warahmatullahi Wa Barakatu,

Allah (SWT) says:
“From the (earth) did We create you, and into it shall we return you, and from it shall we bring you out once again” Quran (20:55)
“Every soul shall have a taste of death” Quran (3:185
)

Mission
With the increase in the number of Muslims in Nebraska, the need to provide an affordable Islamic Funeral and Burial Services that will adhere to strict Islamic Shariah and teachings (Sunnah) of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) is essential.

Islamic Foundation of Lincoln in collaboration with the Islamic Center of Omaha, and the rest of the mosques in the state of Nebraska are trying to purchase a burial land for a permanent Islamic cemetery that will cater to generations of Muslims for 100 years (if not more), Insha’Allah.

Objective
Today the average burial service cost is between $3500-$5000 dollars. By purchasing a cemetery, we will provide a low-cost funeral service expenses for everyone in our community.

Land Cost
In the state of Nebraska, to comply with its laws for a burial land, we must designate a minimum of 20 acres or more of land for that purpose. We are currently looking for an inexpensive land price to purchase between Lincoln and Omaha.
Purchase Price: To Be Determined.

Funding Goal
Our funding goal is to collect $350,000 dollars for a cemetery, Insha’Allah. We are asking each family/individual who has the means to donate $350 dollars.

Allah (SWT) says: “Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have accounted for in a clear register.” (Quran 36:12)
